At 2:45 am on June 23rd my lack of sleep turned into a fantastic opportunity for online shopping. By online shopping I mean "looking". Boy do I add things to my cart that I never purchase. I finally was tired of doing that. (wasn't very productive) I guess I should add that my husband is currently in Lativa on a Marine Corp assignment, so my sleep schedule has not been too good. So, I continue my endless quest to find sleep. 3:30 am rolls around and I'm getting a we bit hungry. I heat up some leftovers. My buffalo cauliflower bites. They're amazing if I do say so myself. Still, not full. Open up the pantry and grab me an oatmeal cake. Sitting at the kitchen island eating my little debbie I started thinking. Anyone who knows me, knows I have ADHD. So my mind never stops. Just like the start of this blog... I'm rambmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmling. Ok, back to the story. I have been thinking about my Indian ancestry through my dads family. My great grandmother Ona (Oney) Hensley was Cherokee Indian and that is really all the information I have on her. So I grabbed my phone and turned to my go-to. Google. Hours later I am obssessed with finding any bit of information that I can.
THIS is the start of something big!! I am so excited to learn daily and then share this information with my family and anyone who searches the internet. I don't know how often I will post or the lenght of posts. Please leave comments, pictures, facts, sources etc. I am all about learning and being aware of my great Indian background.
